In Vráble, winemaking has deep roots. The history of viticulture in Vráble dates back to ancient times. And it was here, on the picturesque southern slope of Viničná Hill, that a project was born—today known as Predium Vráble. A shared vision between a Moravian winemaking family and a native of Nitra found its perfect home: a place to revive the once-celebrated tradition of Vráble wine and restore its rightful place among Slovakia’s finest.
“It all started as an idea over a glass of wine. We said - let’s try to build a winery rooted in its own vineyards, but with full respect for nature,” recalls co-owner Milan Solár.
The decision came quickly, and just a few years later, the winery stood—surrounded by its own vineyards.
“Vráble spoke to us through its history. We felt we could build on something here with deep roots,” he adds.

Vineyards That Breathe Ecology
Today, Predium manages 36 hectares of vineyards, all under organic production. Every vine was custom-prepared by a renowned nursery.
“From the beginning, we committed to an ecological path. We don’t use herbicides, we remove weeds mechanically, and we’ve sown a mix of wild herbs between the rows. These bring life to the vineyards - from insects to birds,” Solár explains.
This ecological approach is also reflected in the winery building itself: gravity-fed grape processing without pumps, a green roof that retains rainwater, heat pumps, and solar panels.
“We didn’t want the building to be just a production facility - we wanted it to tell an ecological story in its own right.”
The winery grounds include insect hotels and bee shelters for solitary bees, helping to support biodiversity and preserve natural ecosystems.
The building was designed and personally overseen by Ing. Radovan Rusnák, himself a winemaker. The cast-in-place concrete monoliths are complemented by brick vaults made from reclaimed materials. It's definitely a destination for lovers of architecture, seamlessly blending modern design with traditional elements.

Wine with a Story
Predium’s portfolio is diverse—from traditional local varieties like Grüner Veltliner and Welschriesling, to modern Slovak cultivars like Dunaj and Devín, all the way to international classics such as Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Semillon.
“Semillon holds special meaning for us - it was grown in Vráble as early as the 18th century. It’s beautiful to be able to bring it back into the spotlight,” says Róbert Moravčík.
There’s something here for every wine lover: low-histamine wines, vegan-friendly wines (produced without any animal-derived ingredients), and wines with minimal sulfite content, all aged in stainless steel tanks under strictly controlled temperatures to ensure optimal fermentation and flavor retention.
The vision is clearly working - Predium has already received international awards from London, Madrid, and Paris. In 2024, the winery was also named Winery of the Year by the Union of Grape Growers and Winemakers of Slovakia.

Culinary Experiences
An integral part of the Predium experience is the Semillon restaurant, led by chef Roman Borovský.
“From the start, we didn’t want the winery to be just about wine - we wanted to offer a full experience. Fine dining among the vineyards is still something truly unique in Slovakia,” says Solár.
The concept is built on perfectly curated wine and food pairings—when a dish meets the right wine, it can uncover entirely new layers of flavor. In this region, the approach is rare: a fusion of honest ingredients, modern culinary techniques, and a deep love for wine.
In addition to gourmet dining, visitors can enjoy tastings right in the vineyard, wine cellar tours, or overnight stays in vineyard apartments. In the morning, guests are gently awakened by silence, the scent of the vines, and breathtaking views.
“We want people to leave with a sense of peace and inspiration. Wine is about storytelling - and we strive to make that story something they can truly live,” concludes sommelier Róbert Moravčík.
