Members of the Slovak National Culinary Team took part in August in the 13th edition of the experience dinner BELLA VITA XIII, held at the VILLA SANDY resort in Košice.
The event, renowned for its emphasis on gastronomy as an artistic and emotional experience, once again became a platform for presenting the culinary vision of the New Slovak Cuisine.
On home ground of team captain and VILLA SANDY’s Executive Chef Jozef Hromják – awarded Silver Chef of the Year 2025 by Falstaff magazine – and in the setting of SEVEN Restaurant Café, distinguished with three toques by the prestigious international guide Gault&Millau and the “White Star” award from the international wine guide Star Wine List, the members of the national team together with partners from VILLA SANDY and F.W.D. created an unforgettable culinary experience for dozens of guests across two evenings.
“It is always a great pleasure to join forces in support of Slovak gastronomy. The fact that we once again managed to spark such enthusiasm among guests at Bella Vita fills us with genuine joy. We truly value all projects that enrich Slovakia’s gastro-culture, and we are always glad to support them,” said Jozef Hromják.

The next in this series of events, where the Slovak National Culinary Team will showcase its culinary artistry to a domestic audience, will take place this autumn at Cloud Restaurant in the DoubleTree by Hilton Bratislava. The timing coincides with the team’s final preparations for the Slovak national final of the prestigious Bocuse d’Or competition, where two of the three finalist teams come directly from the Slovak National Culinary Team.
While the team continues to present itself on the Slovak gastro scene, preparations for international competitions are also in full swing. The Slovak representatives are currently training for the Global Chefs Challenge 2026 World Final, as well as for the Culinary World Cup, which will be held in Luxembourg in November 2026.
