Truffle pig

Outstanding wine, beautiful surroundings, and friendly, smiling service – what more could one wish for? Naturally, good food. And that, too, is part of Truffle pig, a relatively new addition to Trnava’s culinary map. Primarily a wine bar, Truffle pig nonetheless offers an à la carte menu of just over ten dishes, ranging from intriguing beef tartare paired with gooseberries and eggs through various snacks to pork belly or duck presented in a striking way with perfectly crisp skin, something we truly appreciate. The dessert also impressed us: marshmallows toasted tableside, simple yet genuinely delicious. The real strength of Truffle pig, however, lies in its excellent wine selection, featuring both local artisanal winemakers and renowned international producers. With more than twenty wines available by the glass, still a rarity in Slovakia, and offered across different price levels, high-quality wine is made accessible to a wide audience. The dishes would benefit from bolder seasoning to stand out more alongside the wines. Everything here is created with care and a genuine desire to build something meaningful. A concept like this certainly deserves the attention of every food and wine enthusiast.
