TOWERS steak & salad

TOWERS steak & salad is closely associated with outstanding craftsmanship and high-quality steaks. This time, however, we took the opportunity to explore how the kitchen handles other ingredients and dishes from the menu. We were welcomed by pleasant staff and seated at the table with a white tablecloth, along with an excellent selection of wines by the glass, including French crémant. We started with a well-seasoned steak tartare, finely minced and perfectly balanced. The thin toast did not distract from the expertly achieved meat texture, while crunchy pickled onions, jalapeno peppers and variations of tomatoes with micro basil completed the starter beautifully. The fish stew was a fusion of Hungarian halászlé and Asian Tom Yum, highlighting the best of both cuisines. Well-prepared fish and seafood combined with the sweet-and-sour character of the broth worked perfectly well, with crunchy vegetables providing an additional highlight. The creative and unusual sweet coconut risotto with prawns leaned slightly out of balance due to the rice being a bit overcooked, but the savoury Parmesan chips helped offset the sweetness. TOWERS proves that it can master not only steaks but seafood as well, offering an interesting option for lunch or dinner outside the Bratislava city centre.
