Reštaurácia Silvanus

Restaurant Silvanus in Kremnica demonstrates that even a game cuisine can be presented in a modern way, and we would even dare to suggest that it could appeal to diners used to a very different type of establishment. The interior feels neither hunting-themed nor overly contemporary, but rather comfortable and cosy. At times, the food does not entirely correspond with the setting, which can occasionally work to its advantage. One of the Italian-style starters was competent but would have benefited from a clearer thematic link to the rest of the menu. The main courses, however, are largely centred on game, which is commendable and clearly a strength of the kitchen. The combination of traditional Slovak cuisine and game, exemplified by bryndzové pirohy filled with pulled game meat, was particularly impressive and comes highly recommended when visiting Kremnica.
