Hotel & Restaurant Resort Barca

Resort Barca stands out as a long-established dining venue in the region, consistently delivering a high level of service and a welcoming ambiance along one of Košice’s main outer roads. With its bright, airy interior, clean lines, and soft pale tones, the space feels invitingly casual, making guests feel effortlessly at ease. The Chef’s menu changes weekly and features dishes from both traditional Slovak and international cuisine. They confidently incorporate pickled vegetables, spices, and herbs, adding both depth and contrast to their dishes. However, the tarhoňa served as a side to the perkelt lacked a bit of moisture, which would have better integrated the dish. The meat in the perkelt was slightly overcooked in places, which slightly detracted from the overall impression of an otherwise carefully prepared and well-seasoned meal. Resort Barca has long held a strong position among the region’s quality restaurants, but its kitchen currently feels somewhat uneven, lacking the spark and precision that once defined its style. We trust that the new head Chef will address this effectively, as the venue certainly deserves it.
