Bratislava’s D.STEAKHOUSE has been delivering consistent quality in food, service and what we understand as genuinely warm hospitality for many years. Located on Hviezdoslavovo námestie, directly above the restaurant KOGO, the guests are welcomed by an attentive and professional team who were present whenever needed throughout the evening, yet never intrusive. The interior is defined by a high ceiling with an illuminated blue map graphic, a glass-enclosed wine cellar and comfortable seating. Since last year, the menu has been updated, showing a move away from seafood, which is more the domain of its sister restaurant KOGO. Foie gras, steak tartare, carpaccio, or excellent marrow bones served with their own genuinely tasty sourdough bread. Due to inconsistent supply, they have moved away from Slovak dry-aged Simmental steaks; today, however, guests can enjoy top-quality meat from Italy, USDA Prime, Wagyu A5, and occasionally Simmental from Austria. In our opinion, they serve the best chips in town, accompanied by an outstanding spicy sauce that pairs wonderfully, for example, with an Austrian rib-eye steak. Wine is best left to the recommendation of one of Slovakia’s most experienced sommeliers, who is always happy to suggest bottles not listed on the menu. Wine is his passion, and he enjoys sharing it. Compared to last year, we noticed an even more personal approach, more precise service, the conversion of the cigar room into a private lounge, and a more refined menu layout, all of which we greatly appreciate. D.STEAKHOUSE is a place where you can always expect top-quality meat and service that truly cares about the guest.
