A modern city restaurant can take many forms. For instance, it can be located directly within the city swimming complex, such as Voyage in Žilina. The restaurant has recently undergone a complete refurbishment, allowing guests to enjoy a refreshed and improved space. The menu has also been updated, featuring several interesting touches through which the Chef has sought to refresh familiar dishes. When visiting, we would recommend trying the sweet-and-sour potato cream soup, which pleasantly evoked childhood holidays at a grandmother’s place while being subtly enhanced by fragrant chorizo. While the pancakes with mascarpone were enjoyable in terms of flavour, the presentation could be more refined. Similarly, a few dishes would gain from better balance of flavours. These, however, are minor details. Given the menu’s relatively broad range, the restaurant offers something for anyone seeking good food in a comfortable, welcoming setting.
