Villa Rosa

Villa Rosa, a themed restaurant with an adjoining guesthouse, benefits from an excellent location in Dunajská Streda and a setting reminiscent of a country estate. The historic interior, adorned everywhere with a rose motif, feels very romantic, as does the terrace nestled in the beautifully blossoming garden. The restaurant operates according to slow food principles and uses ingredients from its own farms. The menu changes with the seasons and features game, fish, and products typical of the Žitný ostrov region. We appreciate that each dish on the à la carte menu comes with a suggested wine pairing. A must-try is the local signature grey cattle perkelt served with homemade tarhoňa in the style of lečo. This is an unusual take on beef perkelt, with a rich, almost goulash-like character. Large pieces of meat are served with the flavourful sauce and tarhoňa in a way that is quite different from the norm. This dish alone is worth a trip to Villa Rosa in the region. Do not miss their legendary halászlé or the dessert šomlói. Combined with the attentive staff, who occasionally struggle with languages other than Hungarian, Villa Rosa is suitable for all kinds of occasions and also offers accommodation for one or more nights.
