SPAGO

Restaurant SPAGO has been operating in the centre of Žilina for several years and has gained loyal customers by offering quality wines and pancakes, which are relatively rare in the city. Its concept is rather closer to a tapas bar than a traditional restaurant. The menu brings together dishes from various world cuisines, mainly represented by Italian, Spanish, and French influences. Classic Spanish tapas can be enjoyed here alongside a glass of good wine. We opted for one of the pancakes, which can be customised to your own taste. The ingredients were of good quality, though the overall flavour did not stand out as particularly memorable. By contrast, the patatas bravas, a dish not commonly found in Slovakia, were pleasantly spicy, although they would have benefited from a touch more salt. If you are in the mood for a simple dinner, shared plates, and a good glass of wine, SPAGO is a solid choice.
