Salaš pod Maginhradom

Salaš pod Maginhradom is a newly built complex offering accommodation and wellness in a beautiful natural setting, complete with a children’s playground and animals, making it ideal for families with children. Although the initial welcome was somewhat reserved, the smiles and kindness encountered throughout the visit more than made up for it. Be sure to try the lamb specialities, as lamb is a type of meat that has become increasingly rare on menus across Slovakia. The lamb kettle goulash was excellent, honest and hearty, served with generous pieces of meat, which we particularly appreciated. We were equally pleased to try another traditional, now somewhat forgotten dish: tripe perkelt. The flavour was delicious, and it had the right consistency, though the tripe was slightly overcooked, and the otherwise tasty halušky served alongside could have been warmer. With its truly attractive setting, Salaš pod Maginhradom has the potential to become a favourite spot for both tourists and local families.
