Ristorante Italiano da Cono is located in the Light Park shopping centre. Over its many years of operation, it has become particularly popular with locals. The restaurant places strong emphasis on the quality of its ingredients, which are imported from various regions of Italy. Seasonal specials are written by hand on boards, adding to the authentic feel. The wine list focuses exclusively on Italian wines, which is hardly surprising, although a slight expansion would be welcome. The bruschettine mix is a perfect way to start a shared lunch or dinner with friends. We were especially taken with the mushrooms paired with truffle oil, though the perfectly cooked prawns and the courgette with aubergine were equally enjoyable. Alongside well-known pasta classics, the menu also offers some more unusual flavour combinations. The fagottini ricotta e pera delivered a pleasant sweet-and-savoury balance: filled pasta parcels with ricotta and pear, enhanced by lightly pan-fried pear slices and a generous portion of quality Parmigiano. A pinch more salt would have helped. And what would an Italian lunch be without tiramisu? The version at Light Park ranks among the best we have had in Bratislava. The distinctly yellow-hued cream had a lovely amaretto flavour and melted beautifully on the tongue. At Light Park, da Cono delivers freshness and authenticity on the plate, backed by years of tradition.
