Márai Bistro – reštaurácia & bar

Enjoying lunch while watching a bustling square is a very pleasant combination. One such experience is offered by the restaurant Márai Bistro on Košice’s main square. The interior is attractive, clean, and at times feels homely. The mix of wood, abundant photographs on the walls, and pleasant music creates an inviting atmosphere. The menu offers a range of interesting dishes, including fish, meat-based and vegetarian options. We were particularly impressed by the soup, which had a rich flavour, the correct temperature, and was nicely presented at the table. The fried catfish was cooked to perfection, yet the accompanying salad mix lacked the same impact. Similarly, the apricot tiramisu, while visually appealing in its presentation, lacked the flavour of the apricot syrup intended to replace coffee. Overall, this venue will likely appeal to anyone wishing to savour the atmosphere of the city centre.
