Little Bali is more than just a restaurant. It is a small island of exotics, offering an authentic experience in the heart of Slovakia. Beyond the restaurant itself, the sensitively and luxuriously renovated building spans over several floors and houses a club, a space for massage and yoga. From the moment you enter, the restaurant’s appearance transports you to another world. In the open kitchen, a smiling team of Chefs from this exotic country take care of the culinary experience. The pho bo had a strong flavour, with a broth that was clearly prepared with genuine care. The nasi goreng, enhanced by an unexpected element in the form of a peanut crisp, ranked among the best we have tasted in Slovakia. The rice was excellent, and the chicken was juicy and well-seasoned. More disappointing was the black rice ice cream, which was served in an overly large portion and lacked depth and intensity of flavour. Little Bali is an interesting bistro well worth a visit. With improvements to the wine list and the quality of service, it has the potential to become a very strong representative of Indonesian cuisine within Slovakia’s dining scene.
