Another Košice venue is hidden away in a small, cosy courtyard where you can enjoy an exceptionally pleasant atmosphere. Within the same courtyard as BlueBell, you will also find two other establishments run by the same owner, offering excellent beer or Spanish tapas. BlueBell itself, however, delivers a different kind of gastronomic experience. Here you can try what they call “Slovak tacos”. House-made lokše filled with crispy pork belly, beetroot and caramelised onion and finished with chive mayonnaise were a true delight for our taste buds. It is definitely a dish worth travelling to Košice for, and one that will make you want to return. We also tried the house-made tarhoňoto, which stood out for its pleasantly intense mushroom flavour. The restaurant would benefit from improving its dessert selection, which is currently quite limited, as well as from a more welcoming approach from the staff. It has the potential to become a highly sought-after spot.
